Femoral Head Coring Instrument
Easy and quick removal of cancellous bone from a femoral head
|
|
|

|
Designed to core out cancellous bone from a femoral head. Special coring bits help remove the cancellous bone quickly and easily. The femoral head is positioned in the holding yoke; the bit is quickly advanced by pressing the button on top of the threaded rod. Once the bit touches the bone, either the crank handle or a powered reamer can be used to core the bone. The removed bone will fall upon the plate under the bit. The coring instrument will accommodate all diameters of femoral heads. The unit is supplied with three diameter coring bits and a folding crank handle. The handle should be folded when a power reamer is used. For frozen or very hard bone, it may be easier to start with a smaller bit and progress to the larger bits. The unit is also supplied with a table flange for stabilization during use. The entire unit, including bits, are steam sterilizable.

Universal Bone Grafting/Impacting Forceps
Bone graft can be grasped, placed and impacted without changing hands or instruments

The forceps are designed with grasping ends for delivery of bone graft. When the graft is in place, the forceps are closed, which forms the ends into an impacting punch. A striking platform is attached to the end of the forceps for tapping and tamping the graft. Four end diameters are available in two lengths.
